Well this is it, here goes nothing. Random Delusions pretty much says it all. I need a place to randomly comment on my life and the world and about whatever pops into my head at random moments.

so this is it

....... i drive home, left work on time for a change, the radio is on, as it always is, to the local PBS, NPR is doing the news, our government has deserted us. And I do mean us, humans, children, old people, us who have children, us who will become old, first the federal government is doing it, then the governor of TN is doing it. Pushing old folks out of their homes and into nursing homes, which, by the way, cost MORE than home care does. How do we see this as logical? How do we, and again, I mean all of us, allow this logic to prevail? How do we bitch about tax dollars supporting NPR and Public Radio because those who aren't liberal shouldn't be "forced" to support "liberal" radio? How do we NOT bitch about our tax dollars supporting wars, and religious crusades, about our being "forced" to support murder and pillage of the cultures of the world? How do we NOT bitch about no art, music, or physical education in our public schools? How do we NOT bitch about allowing multi-millionaire corporate executives to support their extravagant lifestyles on our tax dollars? When the masses pay a greater percentage of taxes and the corporations are receiving tax refunds while their employees go with out healthcare, safe housing, and rely on other tax payers to feed their children; then that is exactly what we are doing. We are paying them to be wasteful and greedy, we reward their dishonest ways, their inhumane ways. The majority of our children, and they are all our children, they will someday be who you hope will have compassion and care for you in your old age, receive only the barest of educations. The schools are turning out literate workers, not future leaders. The society have regressed to the days when education was simply about making a literate work force and keeping the kids out of trouble so the adults could work and make more money for the company. Children inherited their parents jobs, generations were loyal to the corporation, they were too uneducated and poor to do any thing about it. Is this the future we wish to create? Where the old are never seen, where are children are seen simply as cheap labor? Where the masses work out their days and live, the oft quoted, "lives of quiet desperation"? .... and so this is how i came to be driving home from work today, with the radio on, and tears running down my face.
